ADS is one of the largest plastics recyclers in North America. We recycle over half a billion pounds of plastic made of everyday household items like shampoo and laundry detergent bottles, medicine bottles, bottle caps and even carpet. This recycled plastic is then used in our highly engineered products that go underground for decades.
How our Recycling Process Works
From curbside recycling to high-performance thermoplastic pipe, we’re extending the lifecycle of plastic. Whether it’s on the side of the highway, under your neighborhood grocery store’s parking lot, beneath the cornfield or right in your backyard, we’re using sustainably sourced recycled plastic in products everywhere.
Step 1
Curbside recycling is picked up by local trash collection, bailed and delivered to an ADS Recycling facility.
Step 2
Plastic is sorted, ground into flake and washed for clean production.
Step 3
Flake is blended and melted into pellets.
Step 4
Pellets are extruded into pipe designed to last over 100 years.
